Description

Targeting Executive Function with Physical, Cognitive, and Environmental Strategies
This intervention–packed seminar addresses the aggressive, avoidant, or helpless behavior that often results from deficits in executive functioning skills. Applying the innovative principles learned in this course – using cognitive, physical, and external strategies – will help your clients successfully negotiate life without heavy reliance on others to organize what they cannot organize enough for themselves.

In just 6 hours, you will leave with tools that can be applied tomorrow to begin to not only assist your clients in gaining motor skills, but also in improving participation and generalization of those motor skills into therapy and into life. Your instructor, Angela Ingram, OTD, OTR/L, will show you how to make your interventions more effective; improve children's motivation, cooperation, and independence; and provide parents or teachers with evidence–based techniques to generalize skills into their daily activities.
